Finance Executive

--afi Global--

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive to support the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The role involves transaction processing, reconciliations, financial record maintenance, payroll support, and assisting with financial reporting activities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day finance operations, including AP, AR, petty cash, and employee reimbursements.
  • Perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support cash flow monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries, assist with month-end and year-end closure.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, budgeting activities, and variance analysis.
  • Assist with payroll administration in coordination with HR.
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by management.

Key Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelors / Diploma in Accounting & Finance.
  • Pursuing CIMA, ACCA, CMA or CA will be an added advantage.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with less supervision.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

What's great in the job?

  • Hands-on exposure across the full finance function - AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll, budgeting, and audits - giving well-rounded experience rather than a narrow scope.
  • Great steppingstone for those pursuing CIMA, ACCA, CMA or CA, with real-world application of what they're studying.
  • Direct involvement in month-end/year-end closures and financial reporting, which builds strong technical grounding early in a finance career.
  • Autonomy to work independently with less supervision - ideal for someone who wants to grow and take ownership rather than be micromanaged.
  • Exposure to both internal and external audit processes, which is valuable experience not every entry-to-mid level role offers.
