At the Faika and Hamdoon Endowment for the Restoration of Sight, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to see the world clearly, regardless of their financial situation. To achieve that mission, we prioritize areas with people most in need, ensuring that our efforts make the greatest impact.
Fully Funded Cataract Surgeries
We actively reach out to individuals and facilitate free cataract surgeries to those in need, one person at a time. Our endowment covers the cost of the cataract surgery procedure for patients who are truly unable to afford surgery.
Community Eye Camps
Accessibility remains one of the biggest barriers to awareness and diagnosis among patients. To bridge this gap, we conduct Eye Health Camp in areas around Sri Lanka. Our community eye camps include:
• Free vision tests
• Providing prescription glasses
• Eye health awareness programs
Our eye camps provide access to medical professionals who engage with the patient to assess their sight and provide the necessary prescriptions.
